CSV to Excel Converter

Turn CSV exports into a clean Excel spreadsheet. The separator and the text encoding are detected for you, numbers become real numbers, and codes such as zip codes keep their leading zeros. Add several CSV files to get one workbook with a sheet for each.

How to use CSV to Excel Converter

  1. Select one or more CSV files.
  2. Leave the separator on automatic, or choose comma, semicolon, tab or vertical bar.
  3. Click "Convert to Excel" to download the .xlsx file.

Frequently asked questions

Why do accents look wrong when I open a CSV in Excel?

Excel often guesses the wrong text encoding for CSV files. This tool reads UTF-8, UTF-16 and older Windows files correctly, so the Excel file shows every character as it should.

Are leading zeros kept?

Yes. Values such as 00412, phone numbers starting with + and long ID numbers stay text. Other numbers, amounts and percentages become numbers, so formulas work.

Can I combine several CSV files?

Yes. Add several files and each one becomes a sheet, named after the file, in a single Excel workbook.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The CSV is read and converted in your browser, so your data never leaves your device.
