PDF to Excel

Turn the tables in a PDF into an Excel spreadsheet you can sort, filter and calculate with. Ruled tables keep their cells and merged cells, tables without lines are split into columns from the text layout, and amounts become real numbers. The PDF never leaves your device.

How to use PDF to Excel

  1. Select the PDF that contains your tables.
  2. Choose one sheet per page, or all pages on one sheet for long statements.
  3. Click "Convert to Excel" to download the .xlsx file.

Frequently asked questions

Which PDFs work best?

PDFs created on a computer, such as invoices, bank statements, reports and price lists. Each line of text becomes a row, and tables are split into columns.

Are numbers kept as numbers?

Yes. Amounts such as 1,234.56, 1.234,56, $45.00, 12% or (300.00) become numbers with a matching format, so formulas work. Codes with leading zeros, such as 00412, stay text.

Can it convert scanned PDFs?

Not yet. A scan is a picture without text. Use PDF to Word, which recognizes text in scans, or a PDF that was created digitally.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is read in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
