Resize Image

Make photos smaller for email, a website or an online form, or give them an exact size in pixels. Add one image or a whole batch, choose a percentage or a width and height, and download the results. Your images never leave your device.

How to use Resize Image

  1. Select one or more images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and other formats your browser can open).
  2. Choose a percentage, or a width and height in pixels, and whether to keep the proportions.
  3. Click "Resize images". One image downloads directly; several images download as a ZIP file.

Frequently asked questions

Will my image be stretched?

Not while "Keep the proportions" is on: the image is made as large as fits inside the width and height you enter. Turn it off to get exactly that size, for example a square picture from a wide photo.

Does resizing make the file smaller?

Yes. Halving the width and height leaves a quarter of the pixels, and the file usually becomes three to four times smaller. Large reductions are done in several steps so the result stays sharp.

Can I make an image bigger?

Yes, with a percentage above 100 or a larger width. The browser smooths the enlarged pixels, but it cannot add detail that was not in the original.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The images are resized in your browser, so they never leave your device.
