Crop Image
Cut a photo down to the part that matters: remove empty borders, frame a face for a profile picture, or trim a signature for an online form. Drag the frame, pick a shape, or type exact pixels. Your image never leaves your device.
How to use Crop Image
- Select an image (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and other formats your browser can open).
- Drag the frame and its corners over the part you want to keep, choose an aspect ratio such as 1:1 or 16:9, or type the width, height and position in pixels.
- Click "Crop image" to download the cropped picture.
Frequently asked questions
How do I crop a photo to a square?
Choose 1:1 in "Aspect ratio". The frame becomes the largest square that fits the image; drag it over the part you want and resize it from a corner, and it stays square.
Can I crop to an exact size in pixels?
Yes. Type the width and height, and how far the frame starts from the left and the top. The frame on the image follows what you type, so you can check it before downloading.
Does cropping lower the quality?
No pixels are resized: the part you keep is exactly as sharp as before. PNG stays lossless; JPG and WebP are saved again at 92% quality, which looks the same. GIF, BMP and other formats are saved as PNG.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The image is cropped in your browser, so it never leaves your device.
